Kudos 707: But one Borg Cube just has to send over a few drones and BOOM no more Empire.

Only King Arthur can pull Excalibur our of the stone.

Once again, Star trek and the Trekkies are feeling insecure over Star Wars...they try to use their so-called superior "hardware" to even the score. But they refuse to realize that Star Wars is the greatest space opera of them all, and no Star Trek federation vessel, however powerful these maybe, can erase that!

The Enterprise-D is a Galaxy class capital ship. It is the Trek equivalent of a Star Destroyer (normal type, not SSD type). A flock of fighters could never beat her down. The E-D could finish them off with a torpedo cluster, proximity blasts or simply by cutting them down one by one with phaser beams. It's not about which is best, Trek or Wars, it's just that a squadron of one-man fighters could not stand a chance against a first-rate capital ship, regardless of universe.
Put the D against a star destroyer, now that would be an interesting match...

Do you think the Dead Men of Dunharrow AKA Oathbreakers can wipe out all of Red China's army, navy and air force?

That depends. Various factors must be assessed. First of all, China is advanced, and huge, lots of space, resources nad manpower. It can and would also make a policy of containing the Oathbreakers at the cost of losing some of its own, meanwhile, they figure out a method to deal with the enemy. Then again, the Oathbreakers' primary force is that they are friggin' ghosts everybody fears.Fear is the power you can defeat all enemies with. But who do the Chinese fear most: a supernatural force or the wrath of Comrade Chairman? I think it's the latter.
Conclusion: China wins, though via massive initial losses. Result: primary engagement zone devastated, nuked to glass, etc. Chinese victory through clever use of resources and rapid advancement.

When can a gun kill a ghost?

I never said "guns". I said, the Chinese would figure out something. Not necessarily guns. They'd contain the ghosts, letting them ravage part of their land, and in the meantime, they'd develop something that would stop them.

It's just a question. I never said you said "guns?"

Figure out something...in less than a minute or an hour?

China is kinda huge. The number of Oathbreakers is limited. These two factors combined would leave the Chinese weeks. Plus, they could always use the good old strategy of throwing in cannon fodder to slow down the movement of the enemy.

SW capital ships outsize ST ships, but ST technology is vastly inferior to ST technology. Lasers can't even put a dent in Enterprise's shields. Therefore, the Rebels AND Empire are royally fucked.

Ay tanga!
How can your Star Trek toilet compete with Star Wars? Star Wars is one of the Greatest Space Fantasy of All Time while Star Trek is just a filler show on TV.

Feeling a bit overprotective, eh? So illogical! Both shows are great in a way and dumb in another, both are loved by millions, both are mega-franchizes. Both were inspired by eachother, both have a message to convey, both had its ups and downs. Trek had The Wrath of Khan, the best of Trek. Wars had The Empire Strikes back, the best of Wars. Trek had crap like Generations, Wars had crap like The Phantom Menace. Behind both franchizes, their creators actually don't give a crap about what the fans say, it's all about them turning our love into money. Then again, who cares as long as we can have fun? Becaue this is the most important thing, both shows are major fun. Why comparing the two negatively against eachother, fuelling nerd rage? It is illogical, immature, and dishonors the concept behind both shows!

It is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles; if you do not know your enemies but do know yourself, you will win one and lose one; if you do not know your enemies nor yourself, you will be imperiled in every single battle. - The Rebel alliance had many Bothan Spies to begin with that can infiltrate the ST federation with ease. The rebels can easily study technical blueprints and other schemas as well as pin-point potential weakness in all ST ship's structures.

One of the rules of the Book of War by Sun Tzu, "Never to underestimate an enemy"...Means it's NOT just in the Technology...It's in the cunning and resourcefulness ...Remember the U.S. Falling off against the Viet Congs ...The 9/11 Attacks...amidst the sophisticated military forces of the U.S.
The Rebel Alliance, just like most Freedom Fighting groups has something not even technology or those too pre-occupied with it could outdo...and that's the will to win and survive!

You Star Wars fanboys are so adorably stupid. Your arguments in no way examine the technological differences at all. This has been proven time and time again from people who actually HAVE looked into it. SW has bigger ships, but ST vastly overpowers them. The only thing SW has going for them is the Death Star. But one Borg Cube just has to send over a few drones and BOOM no more Empire.

Excalibur? Really? That's what you're going to use as a rebutle? You're only proving my point. "oh, instead of making a comeback with reason and facts I'm going to say something completely irrelevant to make myself feel so superior to compensate for my little dick!" That's you. That's what you sound like. Come back when you have structure and intelligence, you filthy casual.
